Welcome to the new 'site; sorry about the mess. i was in the midwest in October when the update process was on and i haven't had a chance to sweep up and get stuff posted.
November was a blur! Played the Yachats Celtic Music Festival again this year. Gotta be one of the best festivals ever, full of heart & soul and more great music than you can shake a bow at.
Then i was off to the annual Folk Alliance FAR-West gathering, this year in Sacramento, CA, where a grand time was had by all, despite a general lack of sleep. The event really grew this year, with something like 400 people, performers, folk radio folks, festival and house concert folks, a whole community of people who love acoustic music. I rode the train down and coonsequently carried four instruments. Had a blast. If this kind of thing interests you, join us the first weekend in November '08 in Vancouver, WA. Home to a quiet Thanksgiving. Wow, when i slow down for a minute i realize my house is as much of a mess as my car is. Stuff in front of stuff, resources out for projects i'm no longer working on. Time to set this place to rights!
Coming up: Getting ready for our annual Celtic Holiday show with storyteller David Stuart Bull and fiddler Linda Danielson. Linda and i will join fiddler Stuart Williams of Seattle to revive the Laurel Valley Revelers for a contra dance this spring. And i've got a raft of new songs in progress.
