My Show at the Shedd
- 2007-03-22
Hey, gang,
I've got a big show planned for the end of April at the Shedd in Eugene. It's going to be a big one with lots of instruments, special guests and an unusual repertoire.
It's called "The World According to Chico Schwall" and it's a look into my multi-instrumental, genre-crossing, roots-informed folkcore worldview. I'll play three guitars (at least) as well as banjo, mandolin, fiddle, kabosy and oud. My original songs will be sparingly scattered among contemporary instrumentals, American (and other) folk songs, dance tunes from all over. It's a musical autobiography of my life in folk and traditional music, and a look at the creative process I swim in today, free associating from instrument to instrument, source to source as new music comes out of it all.
It's a total one-of-a-kind show and i hope you can join me on Saturday, April 28 at the Shedd.
