This is a first-ever, full service folk festival with an emphasis on traditional roots/Americana folk music. Performance stages, round-robin sets, panels & workshops, all organized by musicians and music lovers. A multi-arts production involving poetry, dance, drama, storytelling and music all in the same story at the same time. Some wonderful artists in our community will be involved. Performances saturday Night & Sunday afternoon (the latter as part of an Urban Arts Retreat). Details as they emerge!

A fantastic "listening room" type venue, focused on the music and family friendly. This will be my U.P. Debut and I'm looking forward to it.

Sweet Aloha plays Hawaiian Kine Music at the Willamette Valley Folk Festival's Second Stage. This great 5-piece group combines beautiful vocals with guitars, ukuleles, steel guitar and bass. Song in Hawaiian and English, old and new. Come hear it!

The Folk Festival Second Stage host a Schwall Street Trio with Jim Fritz (bass/vocal) and Amy Danziger (cello). We'll do some of my songs, and some folk music too. It is a folk festival, right? Stick around and I'll be back at 4:00 with Red Pajamas!

The Shedd Institute for the Arts presents a special concert show, "The World According to Chico Schwall." And what might that world include? A short musical lifetime exploring the roots of American music, in blues, old time country and immigrant traditions, as well as its branches in multi-genre ensembles, improvisation and contemporary songwriting.

"Not many people know as much about American Folk traditions as Chico, and fewer still fuse them with global and contemporary instrumental traditions to crerate something new."

Sleeps With Guitars will share music from a variety of traditions on multiple guitars, mandolin, banjo and fiddle. Look for special guests and unique collaborations.
