Bite of Oregon |
Waterfront Park, Portland Oregon |
more |
| I'll be playing the Bite again this year, this time with a special group. We'll even have a name, as soon as the drummer tells me what it is. The group is composed of activist folksingers Janet & Ken Bates, Mbira player Richard Crandell and percussionist Mark Dievendorf. Essentially it'll be a great onstage jam, with the focus moving and all of us accompanying one another. Ken and Janet live in Bandon and the rest of us live in Eugene, so it's a bit of a Pan-Western-Oregon sound that incorporates folk, Celtic, Zimbabwean, Afro-Carribean and Global Acoustic influences to create new original music.
Come on down. It's a great gig, raising money for a good cause and there's lots to see, hear and EAT. |
